Slipway
Kickstart a project, programme or launch
From idea or stall to delivery under way, in four weeks.
Every business has the project that matters but never quite starts: the new system, the new product, the second site, the grant-funded programme, the launch date already announced. Slipway puts an experienced product and delivery lead into your business full time to get it moving, then hands it over with the team already delivering.
Is this you?
- An important project that keeps slipping down the list
- A new product or service you want to launch properly
- A programme with funding, a deadline or a board commitment behind it
- A business with nobody free to lead it full time

What happens, and when
Week 1, understand
Mostly on site. I talk to the people involved and find the real goal, the constraints, and what has already been spent or promised.
Week 2, shape
We agree scope, budget, success measures and who owns what, decide what gets cut, and start the supplier conversations.
Week 3, prove and start
Test the riskiest assumption first, with a customer test, a supplier demo or a pilot. Suppliers are briefed and the first piece of delivery starts.
Week 4, deliver and hand over
Governance running, the team in a weekly rhythm, and a handover to whoever owns it next.
Slipway 2 compresses this into two weeks: understand and shape in week one, start and hand over in week two.
What you keep at the end
- A one-page brief everyone has signed up to
- A costed plan with milestones and owners
- A risks, decisions and dependencies log
- A supplier and resourcing plan, including what to buy and what to build
- Delivery started, not just planned
- A short weekly update for you
- A handover pack and a check-in 30 days later

Limits and flexibility
One project or programme per Slipway. The scoping call confirms whether it is a Slipway 2, a Slipway 4 or something bigger. At the midpoint check, extra weeks can be added at £2,000 each, or the plan can be handed over as it stands.
What it isn't
Slipway leads and organises the work. Specialist build work, such as software development, is done by your team or your suppliers, and Slipway makes sure they are pointed in the right direction.
Fixed price, without locking either of us in
A free scoping call first
Every package starts with a free 30-minute call. If the work is bigger than the package, you will hear that before you buy. If it is smaller, I will quote less.
A midpoint check
Halfway through, we review progress together. If more time is needed, extra weeks are £2,000, or £400 a day for a few days, agreed there and then. No surprises in the final week.
Your part
I will need people, access and information within two working days of asking. Delays on your side extend the time at the day rate.
Tailored when it needs to be
Any package can be adjusted to fit, and a part-time tech lead arrangement can carry the work on afterwards.
